Seiko Australia proudly unveils the latest addition to the Prospex collection, a striking Australasian Exclusive timepiece inspired by the tropical paradise of Fitzroy Island and its surrounding turquoise waters. This Limited Edition celebrates both the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and Seiko’s continued commitment to ocean conservation.

The ever-changing palette of colour and light serves as the heart of inspiration for Seiko’s latest Australasian Limited Edition, a tribute to the island’s unspoiled landscapes and the harmony between nature and the sea.

The new Prospex Diver’s watch takes inspiration from the natural paradise of Fitzroy Island; a hidden gem nestled along the Great Barrier Reef. Known for its pristine coral beaches and crystal-clear shallows, the island’s beauty lies in the way the ocean’s hues shift with every step, from soft turquoise to deep emerald and vibrant blue, a natural gradient that’s mirrored in the intricate tones of the watch dial. As the sun moves across the sky, the water shifts from glowing gold at sunrise to deep, warm tones at sunset, with the gold bezel mirroring the radiant hues of a turtle’s shell in the sunlight.

True to the Prospex spirit, this Limited Edition unites Seiko’s heritage of innovation with the reliability required by professional divers. Equipped with Automatic Calibre 4R36, the watch delivers outstanding precision and durability, complemented by a 45mm stainless-steel case and 200m divers water resistance. With its vibrant design and enduring build, this timepiece stands as a symbol of Seiko’s dedication to exploration, craftsmanship, and environmental stewardship.

Executed in Seiko’s iconic fan named “Turtle” case, the watch is paired with a stainless-steel bracelet and comes with an additional silicone strap for versatility and comfort, perfectly suited for both adventure and everyday wear.

As part of Seiko’s global Save the Ocean initiative, Seiko Australia is proud to continue its partnership with the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre (CTRC), an organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing injured sea turtles back into the wild. Through this partnership, Seiko has adopted a rehabilitating turtle named ‘Kame’ (Japanese for turtle) whose recovery journey will be shared with audiences across Seiko Australia’s social media platforms. This unique initiative allows Seiko enthusiasts to follow the turtle’s progress, from rescue to release, while learning more about marine conservation efforts.

In addition, a portion of every watch sale will be donated directly to the CTRC, further supporting their vital work in protecting Australia’s marine life and ecosystems.

Limited to 1,000 pieces, each watch will be individually numbered and presented in a teal-coloured box, encased with white packaging that reflects the tropical beauty of Fitzroy Island. Inside, the Prospex and Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre (CTRC) logos are proudly displayed, symbolising the partnership and shared commitment to protecting Australia’s marine life. This special presentation not only enhances the watch’s collectability but also serves as a meaningful reminder of Seiko’s dedication to conservation and craftsmanship.
